Sofar Sounds
As Head of Brand & Communications, I have positioned the emerging startup as premiere destination for live, community-driven events through creation of company brand vision, mission, core values and manifesto statements.
TOMS Shoes
I served as TOMS' Manager of Giving Communications, developing, managing and implementing global communication strategies for all social impact and One for One giving initiatives. This work established integrated, cross-channel communication strategies that guided PR, e-commerce, social media, retail, thought leadership, brand partnerships and community engagement in conveying TOMS brand story among key media, influencers, international NGOs and customers for global markets.
During my tenure, I worked on four new Giving product launches, the company's first paid broadcast commercial and virtual reality experience.
Avon Theatre
Film Center
As a Marketing Associate at the Avon Theatre, I handled all donor retention, press, social media and target media outreach and communications for member-supported nonprofit art house theatre. This included the creation of all donor appeals communication; writing press releases for web and print; the redesign of programming booklets, posters and marketing materials for display; and the creation of the organization’s social media platforms and presence.
Stamford Advocate
At The Stamford Advocate, I reported for the city and features news desk, garnering over 100 bylines and an award for Best Feature from the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists.
In 2010, I wrote a weekly column from Southeast Asia and the Middle East with focus on culture, travel, food and political unrest.
